		<description>I could probably write twice as much as you have in response, explaining things from the point of view of someone who worked for years on the other side of the phone at the local cable company.  I can probably just sum it up by saying that that type of work environment actively punishes people for deviating in any way from the routine, even when doing so would result in a happier customer and/or shorter call time.   

Those were some dark days.</description>
